"OpenID Connect (OIDC) is an authentication layer on top of OAuth 2.0, an authorization framework." The benefit to developers and consumers is a more simplified way to add a new Auth provider which would provide some standard user info.
One way to enable OIDC with ServiceStack is through IdentityServer, see example in new IdentityServer4 template:
ServiceStack also added support for using ASP.NET Identity Auth, see:
We’ve added support for Server Sent Events (SSE) as an integrated Server Notifications option that can be used as an alternative for Web Sockets at: https://github.com/ServiceStack/ServiceStack/wiki/Server-Events
I'd like to see an alternative to WCF Duplex Communications.
This is somewhat related to http://servicestack.uservoice.com/forums/176786-feature-requests/suggestions/4458942-add-fast-tcp-endpoint (Add fast TCP endpoint), as the duplex comms should use the same connection.
We use this for "playing nice" with firewalls (make connection out, poll in on same connection).16 votes
It’s not full duplex TCP, although ServerEvents provides a duplex-like solution over HTTP that works over firewalls: https://github.com/ServiceStack/ServiceStack/wiki/Server-Events
